New Year, new opportunities

I am very pleased to have become involved with a new initiative at MAKE Southwest, formerly Devon Guild of Craftsmen, that will happen on the last Wednesday of the month. We are hosting a regular day once a month that people can come to and talk about textiles. Any textiles. There will be equipment and materials available to test drive, people getting on with various pieces of work they have, chatting, drinking coffee and nibbling on the odd biscuit or two. We very much hope that you will come and join the chat, maybe show us what you are up to, though you don’t have to, and join the textile community get together
Called Weave Wednesdays, it’s not all about weaving! Spinners, knitters, crocheters, embroiderers, patchworkers, tatters, braiders, lace makers, menders, silk painters, feltmakers and whoever else you can think of , of any age, from beginners to experts, everyone is welcome.

There’s no charge but a suggested donation of £2.50 towards the biscuit fund would be appreciated! The first session is Wednesday 23rd of February, 2022 and runs from 11 am to 3 pm, and you need to contact MAKE Southwest, https://www.crafts.org.uk/, to book a place (there is a link on the website).
